One of the main reasons for this is that Germany is an international market leader and a driving innovator in the fields of energy efficiency technology and energy consulting.

Under the label Energy efficiency made in Germany, the Energy Efficiency Export Initiative, a programme launched by the German Federal Government under the lead responsibility of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, assists foreign partners in establishing productive contacts with German companies and energy efficiency experts.
