Energy Savings
A CHP system has been providing the building's heating since the mid-1990s. Since the renovation, the waste heat from this system is now used by absorption cooling machines to generate cooled air. This innovation has played a major role in reducing the building's primary energy requirement, which was almost halved. It is now down from 331.1 kWh/m2a to 174.6 kWh/m2a.
